The assessment\u00a0<\/strong>that we give to students\u00a0at the semi-annual knowledge review is based\u00a0<\/strong>on our, now\u00a0great experience with ABRSM exams\u00a0<\/strong>. After\u00a0more than 60 of our\u00a0<\/strong>students were\u00a0evaluated by the ABRSM commission\u00a0<\/strong>, our professors already\u00a0have an insight into the standards of evaluation of this method\u00a0<\/strong>, and they apply that knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\nWhy are grades not important, and knowledge tests are?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
We often say that the unofficial motto of our school <\/strong>is that every student may not be able to play the best, but he can play the best he can <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nIn accordance with it, we advise students that grades do not matter <\/strong>. With the good work of our professors, the motivation they get, their work at home, as well as regular public appearances, the pass rate of our students on the ABRSM exams is 100% <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nBut, thanks to the feedback <\/strong>in the middle of the school year, everyone got the opportunity to decide whether or not they want to invest extra effort at home <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nAnyone who cares about better results <\/strong>than those who achieve with current work at home, we always say that a higher level of art requires great dedication and work <\/strong>and that without them there is no way to get the highest grades.<\/p>\n\n\n\nWhat are the benefits of testing knowledge?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
At the knowledge tests, we get a performance practice that is assessed <\/strong>and that differs from the performance for the audience. When students perform at concerts, they play one or two compositions<\/strong>, and in addition to playing, the focus is on the joy that the concert brings, as well as socializing with peers and the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\nOn the knowledge tests, <\/strong>as well as on the exam itself, students must work on longer focus, concentration, musical flow, and also on the mental strength <\/strong>they need to recover after a possible mistake <\/strong>, which in this case has more weight because mistakes affect on the outcome of the exam and grade.<\/p>\n\n\n\nthey pass the exam procedure several times in controlled conditions in the <\/strong>knowledge tests , they will be able to better focus their strength and concentration <\/strong>on their playing instead of on unknown circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\nConclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
