{"id":3493,"date":"2020-07-11T19:10:02","date_gmt":"2020-07-11T19:10:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/evamusic.rs\/abrsm-program-nastave-zaokruzeni-sistem-muzickog-skolovanja-vs-nacionalni-program\/"},"modified":"2024-07-09T07:43:15","modified_gmt":"2024-07-09T07:43:15","slug":"abrsm-completed-system-of-music-education-vs-national-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evamusic.rs\/en\/abrsm-completed-system-of-music-education-vs-national-system\/","title":{"rendered":"ABRSM program \u2013 completed system of music education vs national system"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unlike the national system in which there are separate subjects (instrument and solfeggio) where different music lessons are taught with different professors, in the British Royal&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rs.abrsm.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ABRSM<\/a>&nbsp;program&nbsp;<strong>all elements of music are connected and done through an instrument class, with one professor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The exam<\/strong>, and thus the concept of the class, consists of&nbsp;<strong>4 parts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Scales<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compositions<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sight Reading<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aural test<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em><strong>Scales<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scales are very common in this method. They are played in the simplest form. When the child is not burdened with too heavy technical requirements, he can quickly adopt different tonalities and by the end of primary music education&nbsp;<strong>to master all tonalities and to be able to apply his musical knowledge.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>What does \u201cApplied Music Knowledge\u201d mean according to ABRSM program?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The goal of education<\/strong>, as well as parenting after all, is the independence of children. The ABRSM system is aimed at making children independent as quickly and easily as possible. The curriculum, as well as textbooks, are changing every 2 years. This provides teachers with&nbsp;<strong>constant change and improvement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first composition belongs to the Baroque era, the second to the classical and\/or romantic, while the third composition is always from contemporary literature. Through the third composition,<strong>&nbsp;students meet jazz and blues music and composers of recent times.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em><strong>Sight Reading<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sight reading is a part of the exam, and therefore the teaching of the instrument<strong>, which appears in the ABRSM program from the first grade<\/strong>, unlike the national program in which this subject appears from seventh grade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sight reading is a skill that is useful to every musician. It exists through universal rules that a child adopts from an early age and which, after several years of schooling by this method, teaches him to&nbsp;<strong>independently interpret and play a musical text, as he reads letters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Completed music education<\/strong>\u00a0in ABRSM program<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first three elements that we talked about in this text: scales, compositions and sight reading, although the separate elements represent one inseparable whole of your child\u2019s musical education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>What does it mean?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same tonalities, rhythmic figures, in one word the same musical lessons appear when working on all three elements (scales, compositions and sight reading), which achieves the effect of\u00a0<strong>active knowledge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"536\" src=\"https:\/\/evamusic.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/privatna-muzicka-skola-eva-music-abrsm-program-zaokruzeni-program-nastave-vs-nacionalni-program-1020x536-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1821\" srcset=\"https:\/\/evamusic.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/privatna-muzicka-skola-eva-music-abrsm-program-zaokruzeni-program-nastave-vs-nacionalni-program-1020x536-1.webp 1020w, https:\/\/evamusic.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/privatna-muzicka-skola-eva-music-abrsm-program-zaokruzeni-program-nastave-vs-nacionalni-program-1020x536-1-300x158.webp 300w, https:\/\/evamusic.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/privatna-muzicka-skola-eva-music-abrsm-program-zaokruzeni-program-nastave-vs-nacionalni-program-1020x536-1-768x404.webp 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aural test in the International Centre for Musical Arts \u201cEVA\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em><strong>Aural Test<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aural test is the fourth part of the exam, and therefore the fourth part of our classes, which is most reminiscent of the elements of solfeggio, known from the national program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This part of the class is dedicated to singing and listening to music. Children in the first grades should repeat melodies, rhythm and feel the pulsation while the teacher plays for them.
