Marija Grujic Guitar teacher

Marija Grujić was born in Belgrade where she attended music school “Vatroslav Lisinski” at the classical guitar department. Teachers in school recognized her talent and choosed her as student of her class twice, after elementary music school, and again after secondary music school. Beside classical gutar studies, Marija graduated Theory of Music and Early Music studies in music school “Josip Slavenski” on historical baroque instrument lute. 

2018. she enrolled in Bachelor studies at Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Srđan Tošić, and then 2022. she continued Master studies with the same professor.

She won many competitions in Serbia and abroad in solo and chamber music performance disciplines. The most notable are first place at „Guitar Art Festival“ 2010., second place at „Ana Amalia“ competition (Weimar, Germany) 2013., first place at National competition of ballet and music schools of Serbia 2010., 2016., and 2018., second place at International competition „SIGF“ (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and many others.

She is also awarded with Vuk Karadžić’s diploma for students with highest grades and she received many scholarships such as Dositeja scholarship, scholarship for the best students of Republic Serbia, scholarship of the Foundation “Euro for Education”, “EuroStrings” scholarship and others.

Her students describe her as patient, inspiring and ambitious professor. She is currently working as a guitar teacher at “Vatroslav Lisinski” music school and International “Eva Music” school Belgrade, Dedinje.
