Katarina Kostic – Eva Music School

Katarina Kostić was born in 2001 in Smederevo. Her love for music begins at the early age of 8, when she discovers saxophone and bassoon played by her sisters in her childhood home.

Primary music education begins with Professor Marko Đorđević in Smederevo. She completed secondary music education with Professor Sandra Dropo Ramaji at the „Isidor Bajić“ music school in Novi Sad. In 2020. Katarina enrolls at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Professor Nikola Fabijanić and his assistant Professor Gabor Bunford.

During her music studies she spends a lot of time listening to decent master clasess led by prof. Srđan Paunović (Serbia) , prof. Milan Savić (Serbia), prof. Gordon Tudor (Croatia), prof. Claude Delangle (France), prof. Nicolas Prost (France), prof. Miha Rogina (Slovenia), prof. Matjaž Drevenšek (Slovenia), prof. Jan Gričar (Slovenia), prof. Marko Džomba (Vienna/Serbia), prof. Sumichika Arimura (Japan). In 2022. she spent a year at the „Akademija za glasbo“ (Slovenia) as an exchange student, where she had the opportunity to play in a wind orchestra, solo and in a saxophone octet.

In the meantime, she has also won 1st and 2nd prizes at international competitions: „Davorin Jenko“ Belgrade, „Saksofonijada“ Smederevo, „Femus“ Subotica…

Today, she performs in concerts as a soloist and as a member of the Saxophone Quartet of the Academy of Arts. She became part of The International Music School “Eva Music” from September 2023.
