ABSRM program
ABRSM, which you encounter more and more often on social networks, is actually an acronym for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music or the Association of Royal Schools of Music of Great Britain. Belgrade, Novi Sad and Serbia are the headquarters of the ABRSM program in the region.
It is about the overall system of the music education program, with methods, textbooks and the way of passing the exam, which is the same in as many as 97 countries of the world, with headquarters in Great Britain.
The program was created in 1889 and was created by experts in the field of music education. Every year, great attention is paid to improving the quality of work, which makes this system of British music education even more successful.

As the textbooks, methods and programs of the ABRSM system of music education are the same all over the world, even if you change your place of residence - this school is the ideal choice for your child, who will not experience stress because, except for the change of pedagogue, everything in his music education remains the same.

Assessment in the ABRSM system of the music education program
A strictly defined rule of the ABRSM is that the examiners are British professors who come once a year to the country that is in this music education system and examine the participants. Although we teach ABRSM in our city (Belgrade), we do not evaluate our students.
Within the ABRSM evaluation there are:

The maximum number of points that can be obtained on the exam is 150, with 100 points being enough for a pass grade. From 120 points, the middle grade - "merit" is obtained, and the highest grade - "distinction" is obtained from 130 points.
There are four parts of the exam that are scored separately:

– hearing test.

ABRSM Belgrade - exam
Children enter the exam alone, without their teachers, who cannot influence the final grade in any way. The children are examined by top international pedagogues with many years of experience, and in this way a completely objective evaluation of their playing and musical knowledge is obtained, unlike the system in which children are evaluated by their permanent teachers, which often calls objectivity into question. Also, from the British professors, the children receive a number of constructive suggestions for their further musical progress.

In addition to exams, there are also evaluations that are intended for beginners, that is, amateur musicians, but also for professional musicians who do not want a grade, but more extensive, constructive suggestions from a top expert in the field of music education.
